About CreakyJoints.org
Have arthritis? Here by chance because you know someone who does? Then you've come to the right place. Welcome to CreakyJoints, a community for people of all ages with arthritis who want to live their lives despite their condition. A place where having a little chronic pain (or even a lot of chronic pain) is OK, because there are others within earshot who understand.
CreakyJoints.org, the common gathering point for Internet savvy arthritics is the only stop you need to make late at night when you're looking for some edgy support. It's the only place you need to go when you would like to know more about certain conditions or treatments based on what other people are saying, and not some expert who went to medical school to speak another language. Real people who voice real concerns.
And your stay here with us is completely free. There's no catch -- no obligation to do anything, come and go as you like. We encourage people to sign up for our free newsletter that we send every other week because we give site updates and award prizes. Who knows, you could be the next person to win a massage chair from Sharper Image.
In addition to being an ever-evolving (and we think) cool web site, CreakyJoints also is proud to offer off-line programs such as the A-Games for people who want to take advantage of a community pool to learn swim techniques and exercises in order to feel better. Coming to a local neighborhood near you, CreakyJoints is coast-to-coast with members, participants and events. Our headquarters are located in Upper Nyack, New York.
Originally started by then 18-year old Seth Ginsberg during the early weeks of his freshman year away at college, CreakyJoints has developed features for the young as well as old. For the sick as well as healthy. For the person with a sense of humor.
Seth, diagnosed with Spondyloarthropathy at the age of 13, is now 26, and reaches out to people with arthritis on an emotional, educational and humorous level. While other start-ups try to make a million dollars, Seth hopes to one day throw a going-out-of-business party when a cure for arthritis is found.
He invites you to tour the web site, sign up for the free newsletter, visit the message boards and enjoy all that CreakyJoints has to offer.
Warm wishes for good health,

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to join CreakyJoints?
Absolutely nothing: it's free. And we won't ask you for a donation to help run the site, either. Ever.
So you guys will eventually sell my name and email, won't you?
We won't do that either without your explicit permission. Your goodwill is too valuable to us.
So how does CreakyJoints stay in business?
Thanks to generous sponsors who care about how you feel and ways to make you feel better.
Do I need to have arthritis to become a member of CreakyJoints?
No, but you need to know and care about someone with arthritis. And don't forget, Old-Man-Arthritis may be knocking on your door in a few years, so it's good to be prepared!
Who led the American League in home runs in 1956?
That would be Mickey Mantle of New York. Next question.
Is CreakyJoints just a dot com? And if so, shouldn't the stock price have dropped by now?
CreakyJoints was originally created as a "dot com" (CreakyJoints.com), when the Internet was the place to be. However, for the past three years we have expanded off-line to include wellness and exercise programs that help people with arthritis continue to lead healthier, active lives.
We have also changed our name to CreakyJoints.org to reflect our inclusion in the Global Healthy Living Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
What is the recommended age for the CreakyJoints web site?
Since arthritis doesn't care if you're young or old, neither do we. Kids like the colors of the site. Teens like Seth's diary. Young adults like Ms. Meniscus. Adults and seniors like Creak the Dog. And teenage girls like Seth's picture. There is something for everyone.
Can I be a contributing writer?
Absolutely. We enjoy reading member submitted works, poems, stories, articles, you name it. Visit Creatively Creaky and send them in.
