Good friends: Pain and worry.

Don't bathe me in your fantasy.

Getting out alive

Visit me, but bring energy

Not the best time to be an old dog

Out of the hole for no reason

Vote with your paws and your bark

Think. Bark. Think.

Creak Floats

Pain and exorcise

Proud of our pain

Out of the hole for no reason

I crawled out of a hole today. I'm not sure why, but I did. It wasn't anything I planned to do. If I were honest, I would admit that I probably liked the hole I was in and wasn't making any serious effort to alleviate the depression either through medication, physical or mental exercises. But it went away anyway. I had been online for about seven straight hours - yes, dogs use the internet. Who do you think keeps the hit rate up for the ASPCA sites? And who do you think put pets dot com out of business after the venture capitalists dumped millions into it and that irritating sock puppet got up everybody's nose? Dogs did. That's who.

Anyway, I finally got through building my own website BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Audi, and catching up on the news of the day courtesy of the ASPCA site, when I laid my head down next to the uninterruptable power supply on the floor next to the CPU and went into a floating-in-a-Canadian-lake-in-the-summer stupor. It was wonderful. And when I awoke the depression that had been my companion for the last few weeks was gone.

The puppy, however, wasn't and neither were his smelly, stained newspapers. I will have him housebroken by next week or one of his legs is going to become body cavity filler.
