Jennifer and her mother share more than an ancestral history. They both have arthritis. Through their struggles, Jennifer says, they have become closer. "My mom has had arthritis almost all of her life, plus Stills Disease which has crippled her. So it helped me become closer to her. It helped me understand what she is going through, and many times, she is the only one who understands what I am going through, too."
