What don't you tell your doctor about how you manage pain?
I don't tell him how much over-the-counter medicine I take -- i.e. Tylenol and Aleve. He would freak.

What could George Bush do personally to make the lives of arthritics better?
Institute a National Institute for Pain and Palliative Care under the NIH, so that pain management, treatment, and control could receive federal dollars for study.

What could the Arthritis Foundation do?
Spend more money on awareness and education.

Have you ever used your arthritis to gain an unfair advantage?
I'm not sure if this counts, but I do have a handicap license plate, and I sometimes volunteer to take my car to lunch when several people are going so that we can all benefit from a good parking place.

When's the last time you felt humiliated because of your arthritis?
Just recently I was at an art show and the cashier gave me a small framed print for free. I am 90% sure it was because I was rolling around in my Jazzy chair... he wasn't offering free paintings to anyone else! I just felt singled out.
